Navy surgeon, Dr. Foster Swift. She was raised a Quaker on Nantucket; at the end of her life she lived in Brooklyn and is buried in Green Wood Cemetery. She is not identified on this image but you can find her info including this very portrait on FindAGrave. From the Memoirs of Gen. JG Swift( Ellery, 1890): 1824: "On the 3rd June died my dear mother, in fine
