When cornering at speed or braking under load the fuel inside the petrol tank is thrown from side to side

A second pump then draws from the base of the swirl pot sending fuel to the engine whilst the fuel return (coming back from the engine) is placed back into the swirl pot

The standard routing of the fuel feed lines to the engine are deemed by many as not being as efficient as possible on the majority of Impreza models (especially where power gains are required and a fast and reliable fuel supply becomes even more critical)

This problem occurs mainly under high G cornering or braking, especially when the volume of fuel in the tank is below half.
