Pescadero Top, Cochineal stitch Blanks were sourced from anWomens Small, 100% Cotton I purchased this hand embroidered top from a flea market in El Pescadero, Baja, Mexico back in 2021. It was embroidered by a very sweet Abuela from Oaxaca. I dyed the top with cochineal, or Dactylopius coccus, an insect native to North and South Americas.
