Niflumic acid is also a TRPV1 channel antagonist and it was reported that peripheral neuropathy by suppressing excessive ROS, RNS, inflammatory cytokine production and TRPV1 activation in neuropathic pain-induced rats were recovered by the niflumic acid treatment (Marwaha et al., 2016)
In the U.S., it's lumped in with dietary supplements, not meds, so the FDA doesnt really oversee the details
